Changelog

Daily streak: finding the song adds +1. Playing and missing it keeps your streak without a +1. Skipping a whole UTC day still resets it. A full-screen moment shows the result, then Continue opens your friend-streak recap.

Friend streaks: +1 when both of you find the Daily, kept if you both played but someone missed the song, lost if one of you never played that day. They show on your friends list, the daily recap, and public profiles.

Push alerts: after a Daily, enable notifications so a friend who finishes first can nudge you to play. Alerts can arrive with the site closed (on iPhone, add Euroguessr to your home screen first).

Daily card shop: four offers, unique to you, refresh at midnight UTC. Rarity is an even split; stars roll 30% / 20% / 30% / 10% / 10%. The struck price is the base Super Fragment cost times the star count. The price you pay is the base cost minus a random cut, from 1 up to half the base cost.

Each deal starts blurred. Tap a card to reveal it — that reveal lasts for the UTC day. A 1 badge on the Shop tab stays until all four cards are revealed.

Shop deals are shown smaller on phones, in two columns, so they don’t take over the page.

Featured cards on your profile: pin up to 100 owned Eurodex cards (not just songs). The same track can appear more than once if you own several copies; each exact card can only be featured once.

Public profiles show your top cards as full recto trading cards — 6 on desktop (2×3) and 4 on mobile (2×2). View all opens a paginated showcase (2×3 on PC, 2×2 on phone) where visitors can inspect every featured card.

Profile cosmetics: equip an avatar, a name color, and a profile frame/style from the Shop — your look shows on your public profile, leaderboards, and elsewhere.

Eurodex song detail now includes an Inventory tab with every copy you own of that song. Open Inspection to spin the card in 3D (mouse or touch), flip to the premium archive back, and see song ID, copy number, and obtain date.

Sell cards from Inventory for Super Fragments: payout scales with rarity and stars, never above the claim cost. Confirm before selling, then watch a short sale animation as the card leaves your collection.

The old page-level My Inventory dropdown is gone — inventory lives in each song’s detail modal instead.

Shop refresh: clearer cosmetic icons, four new avatars, and five new frames (including animated ones) to buy and equip.

Leaderboards redesign: larger player rows with rank, avatar, username, and country. Top 3 stay in line with gold, silver, and bronze styling — no podium.

Navigation cleanup: Home is no longer in the main nav so play modes stay one tap away.

Friends: send requests by exact display name, accept or decline, cancel outgoing requests, and remove friends. Manage everything from Account (Friends card with Friends / Requests / Restricted tabs).

On other players’ profiles: Add friend, accept or decline, cancel a pending request, see their friend count, and open their friends list. Friend lists are private — only mutual friends can browse them (the count stays visible).

Restrict a player to block their friend requests and hide their messages in global chat for you. Unrestrict anytime from Account or their profile.

Account page cleanup: Profile customization, Statistics, Preferences, and Friends sit in collapsible sections so the page stays readable on mobile.

Song search lab at /settings/searchbar (also linked from Account → Preferences). Dial in match mode (fuzzy / strict / exact), fuzziness, title and artist scope, year / country / country+year shortcuts, sort, debounce, result density, and keyboard shortcuts — with a live preview of the real guess bar.

Prefs apply across Daily, Infinite, Rush, Global lobby, private rooms, and Eurodex filters. Saved on your device only.

Power users: enable search aliases with a short script (for example alias fr = country France, or loreen = artist Loreen). A cheat sheet on the settings page lists every target type and one-click examples.

Private room chat lives next to Global chat in the chat widget. Open Room by default when you are in a private match; guests can chat without an account.

System messages in room chat cover players joining or leaving, a new host being designated, someone finding the song, match over, and the host starting a new game.

Click Players (for example 2/12) in the room header to open the list of names, with Host and You badges.

When a match ends, the final standings stay on screen until the host starts again. Hosts get a clearer Play again panel under the scores; other players see a waiting note.

Unread room messages show on the chat button badge, same as global chat.

Claim songs into your inventory with a random star rating from 1★ to 5★. You can claim the same track more than once to chase higher stars.

Redesigned rewards bar: your Super fragments balance up top, with the hourly loot chest and the new daily super chest side by side below. Ready chests glow, open with a short animation, and rewards arrive as toasts.

My Inventory is a collapsible section listing every card you have claimed, with totals for cards, unique songs, and combined stars.

Search & filters live in now one collapsible toolbar (collapsed by default). Filter by rarity or status, and sort by stars, rarity, fragments, year, country, or name.

Tap + on Super fragments for a help modal: earn from correct guesses, spend on any locked song, and see the member perk (+10,000 super fragments per month with Buy Me a Coffee membership).

The Eurodex help button now sits next to your collection progress (for example 1/713). Filters, chest panels, and modals got a readability and mobile layout pass.

Procedural sound effects across solo modes and multiplayer: correct/wrong guesses, timers, streaks, round reveals, and a light confetti moment on Daily wins.

Subtle click sounds on buttons and interactive controls; volume stays consistent even when you tap quickly.

Volume button (bottom-left): adjust music and sound effects separately. Same sliders in Account → Preferences.

Preferences redesign: audio and animation cards with a custom toggle, volume sliders, and motion presets (System / Reduced / Full).

Global toast notifications replace inline status messages on Daily, Infinite, Rush, Shop, Leaderboards, and more.

Leaderboards split into Gamemodes and National categories with a clearer tab layout.

Default SFX volume set to 72%. Motion and sound preferences are saved locally in your browser.

Find the Year or Country: new solo mode ! Hear a clip, then pick the right year or country among four options. 3 lives, streak scoring, and ×5 points.

Year or Country leaderboard and profile stats; a wrong answer costs a life but no longer breaks your in-run streak.

Unified custom audio player for Daily, Infinite, Rush, and Year or Country, with tier markers from 2s to 30s.

Daily and Infinite: scrub the progress bar to replay within your current clip; press Play to unlock more audio. Status toasts replace inline messages.
